- By touching contaminated surfaces and then touching the face, eyes or mouth.
- This virus, like other seasonal respiratory viruses, is more active in the late winter and spring months.
How to protect yourself?
Now there is not much information available regarding this virus. Further, as of now, no treatment or vaccine is there for this. Under these circumstances, some precautions should be maintained to prevent it.
- Here are some measures with the help of which you can protect yourself from this virus –
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based sanitizer.
- Avoid anyone who has symptoms of respiratory illness.
- Cover your mouth and nose properly when coughing or sneezing.
- Clean frequently touched objects such as door handles, phones, and tables regularly.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth repeatedly with your hands.
- If you have any symptoms, stay home to prevent the virus from spreading.
- Go by a healthy lifestyle that incorporates a healthy diet, exercise, and enough sleep.
